Telsey and Oregan Make Waves at IBC with IP-connected Personal Video Recorders

Telsey forges a close partnership with Oregan Networks to deliver IP Set Top Box FS600 with web and home networking connectivity to European network operators.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - 8th September, 2006 - Telsey S.p.A., a leader in development of telecommunications equipment for the delivery of broadband interactive services over FTTx and xDSL networks, and the current supplier of Integrated Access Devices and Hybrid STBs to Europe's major VoIP and IPTV service providers - has partnered with Oregan Networks, a provider of embedded solutions for interoperable IP network entertainment. The partners have jointly developed a complete platform for a range of products for the deployment of interactive home entertainment services. Thanks to this cutting edge technology, end users will be able to search, download and share personal and commercial digital content.

At IBC, Telsey presents its latest Hybrid IPTV STB featuring both DVB-T and DVB-C tuners. The STB FS600 delivers innovative functionalities, such as PVR, High Definition TV, MPEG 4 and groundbreaking self installation tools. The IP STB FS600 family is based on Single Chip Technology that provides cost effective solutions while granting the highest performance required for High Definition and Low Bit Rate codecs. The hardware and software properties enable triple-play voice-data-media connectivity and include Oregan's latest developments in web and media streaming technology, as well as client-based and network-based Personal Video Recording.
