TV WEB BROWSER & UI

A successful digital entertainment product is designed with the end consumer in mind, which means enhanced graphics, interactivity and instant access to compelling content. Oregan TV Browser technology brings these features to mainstream Consumer Electronics (CE) and hybrid Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) via the combination of its full set of real-time web browsing and secure transaction technologies - with media streaming and device connectivity protocols.

At the heart of Oregan's solution are the proven and widely accepted W3C standards, enabling the User Interface graphics and architecture to be easily created and customized by service operators and device vendors. Oregan follows rigorous W3C guidelines and keeps pace with new developments, aiming to deliver fast, interactive, targeted and personalized web entertainment to non-PC platforms. Today Oregan has developed an unmatched platform for delivery of web 2.0 applications and XML-driven services across a variety of form factors.

APPLICATION

Oregan's embedded web browser is a client-based media access application, which constitutes the core of Oregan's IPR.

It fulfills a dual content-centric function: access to connected entertainment content via IP networks and facilitating of a Graphical User Interface for controlling and manipulating the content to be viewed on television or other low resolution displays.

The range of supported media content sources encompasses media existing within the home network, media from USB connected peripherals or storage devices, and online media streamed from the Internet over broadband IP.

Oregan's TV Browser is a product for top entertainment brands in consumer electronics, requiring high specification and full functionality. Oregan's browser characteristics defy its 2-4MB footprint and low memory requirements for execution, in its ability to deliver impressive performance and user experience.
