TR-069 Device Management
Standards Based Device Management And In-Field Upgrade
Bring Android TV STBs Under Standards-Based Remote Management
Oregan TR-069 & XMPP Client
Operators already manage their broadband and CPE estate with TR-069 (CWMP) — the Broadband Forum's CPE WAN Management Protocol and the de-facto standard for remote device management. Oregan's TR-069 & XMPP client extends that same proven, ACS-driven workflow to Android TV set-top boxes, so video devices are provisioned, monitored and upgraded from a management platform your teams already run.
It ships as a single system APK with minimal integration effort and is fully compliant with the TR-069 data model, while remaining customisable for operator-specific parameters. From the ACS it handles full system-image upgrades alongside independent updates to the launcher and other APKs — pushing a single app without re-flashing the whole device or rolling a truck.
An XMPP connection-request channel lets the ACS reach boxes sitting behind home NAT and firewalls, triggering a management session on demand rather than waiting for the device to next check in — so a reboot, configuration change or emergency upgrade lands in seconds.
